“Take comfort in the memories.” No, I find no comfort in memories of Randy, just longing.
“Randy’s watching over you.” No, Randy is adventuring for God, not comforting me.
“Randy is your soulmate.” No, soulmate ideology for me, is a distraction and fairy tale.
God is my comfort, my one who never leaves me.
God is leading, providing, healing, protecting all my being.
God is my soul’s creator, father, salvation, keeper, shepherd; my forever soulmate.
Randy is an amazing soul whom I love dearly, but he’s not God. To look to him for anything now is a grief-filled distraction, from clinging to my love, my God.
