To be seen, the good and the bad, thoroughly seen, and someone still says I enjoy you, I like you, I want to be with you. That is love.
To see all the parts of another, thoroughly see, and still want to soothe another, share moments, and encourage them. That is love.
This love makes an amazing marriage…. I know as I had that amazing marriage. To adore and be adored. God tangibly showing how he loves us through the love of marriage. A miracle.
My heart breaks when I see how so many struggle to truly love in marriage, they miss the magic, the warmth. It’s not easy, and it’s not hard. Or maybe, I was just miraculously gifted an amazing partner. Yes, this is true, as I’m a terrible picker of partners.
But today, I pray that I see all humans as I did my partner… to love beyond all the messy parts, even when I no longer receive in return. God is loving me, and I want that love to overflow to all.
