Communion

Today, I awake, surprised with joy! For many months, joy has been clouded for me, but today is a bright, sunny joyful day.

Why? As Merton quotes, no man is an island. These past two days have been filled with friends, new and old, sharing our hearts.

My new life approach is, what may I bring today. Each friend has heart pain… In sharing, we truly disburse the pain so that we all are a bit lighter.

And today? God has poured out joy after an agonizing grief.

So today, may I not only bring a listening ear, but now a joyful spirit…  given me to now share with you.
