- The consolations of our faith do not erase or compensate for our grief.
- Our solace comes from the Spirit’s abiding presence both in our hearts and in our loving communities. We can feel God’s love within our own souls and also in the hugs, the hymns, and the casseroles of those who grieve along with us.
- But our hope is more than heavenly expectation. It is also the power of love animating our lives each and every day. A love that moves us to shape a better world for all of God’s beloved children.
- And we pray for the wisdom and the strength and the courage to work with God’s grace to heal this shattered, aching world. To be instruments of peace and justice and love.
