Where is God?

yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good and gave you from heaven rains and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness. Acts 14:17

Where is God? I don’t see his body… I don’t hear his audible voice… I don’t feel his physical hugs…  So where is God?

A tangible God here on earth is my dream, longing for the days when God walked with Adam and Eve in the garden.  I walk most evenings envisioning God walking with me, chatting about the day’s work,  sharing concerns for the humans he loves dearly, and seeking his comfort.

Yes… a tangible God is my desire.

Until that day, I will see the witness he gives us here on earth… rain, water, seasons, food, flowers, trees, pleasant days, glorious skies, thunderous oceans, majestic mountains, and…

YOU… and me… us amazing humans made in his image…  We humans are full of the miraculous from cells to blood to organs to veins to skin to the whole system of the body; to our brains, the conceptualizing, the processing, the knowings; to our soul and emotions and spirit… to love. Love… is such a miraculous gift given us… love.  And…

His Spirit to live within us … our friend and beloved walking every step of this life with us… I don’t even have the words to describe or ponder… Yet Spirit is the most loving miracle of all.

Yes, I acknowledge that there is much here with us on earth, and in us humans, that doesn’t  have any sense of God. Do I understand? Not really. We are a broken image, a broken earth, a broken creation…  Yet through this brokenness, God still reveals bits of himself…

So where is God?

yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good and gave you from heaven rains and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness. Acts 14:17
